Employment and Unemployment

Produced by Sheila C. Casey, Esq.
Reviewed March 2019 - Greater Boston Legal Services

Workers in Massachusetts have the right to:

  • get paid the money you earned;
  • be free from all forms of discrimination in the workplace;
  • keep your job if you need time off in certain circumstances;
  • collect unemployment benefits if you lose your job and it's not your fault.

We have organized the information in topic areas, such as getting a job, getting paid, time off and other benefits, and unemployment benefits, to make it easier for you to find what you are looking for quickly.
