The FoodSource Hotline

Produced by Project Bread and Massachusetts Law Reform Institute
Reviewed May 2023

Project Bread's toll-free FoodSource Hotline is the information and referral service in Massachusetts for people facing hunger. FoodSource Hotline counselors refer callers to food resources in their communities and to information about SNAP and other nutrition programs.

To find food resources in your community, call or text the FoodSource Hotline at 1-800-645-8333. Hotline hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 7pm and Saturday, 10am - 2pm.

You can also chat with a counselor online using the Live Chat feature at the bottom of Project Bread's Get Help page.

The FoodSource Hotline can help hungry families in 160 languages - from Arabic to Cambodian, Russian to Vietnamese.  This special service links callers with a translator, usually within 30 seconds.

These services are available to all Massachusetts residents.
