The purpose of this booklet is to give tenants in public housing in Massachusetts answers to questions about grievance procedures. A grievance procedure is a way to resolve disputes between tenants in public housing and a housing authority.

As a tenant, you have important rights. But those rights have meaning only when you use them. To learn more, read questions and answers about the grievance process in this booklet. The booklet includes legal citations — click "Show Endnotes" on the chapter pages.
